I recorded a program and then copied it to a friends XP pc to watch. The
video is fine but there is no sound. I then tried it on a different XP pc and
it played perfectly with sound.

Can you please help me get the sound working on the dvr-ms playback on the
first PC. The sound is working ok for everyhing else.

If the PC has power DVD installed try getting the latest patch. It cured it
for me. Also, you could try playing with something like VLC.

Your friends machine does not have the appropriate CODECS to run DVR-MS
correctly. Install something like PowerDVD from Cyberlink. This should
solve your problem.
