Hi,

Trying to remove some strips and some tiles from the Vista Media Center
menu. I have edited the Registry as follows but with no sucess:

REGEDIT4

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Media
Center\Start Menu]
"HideVideos"=dword:00000001
"HideDVD"=dword:00000001
"HideWebsite"=dword:00000001
"HideHighMAT"=dword:00000001
"HideTV"=dword:00000001
"HideRadio"=dword:00000001
"HideMusic"=dword:00000001

Does anyone know how to sucessfully add/remove menu tiles and/or strips in
the Media Center menu?

Thanks in advance

Have you tried doing it through Set Program Access and Computer Defaults

1.. Click on the Start menu and choose Default Programs
2.. Click on the item named Set Program Access and Computer Defaults
3.. Choose the Custom configuration
Enable/disable what you want/don't want.

Yes, I looked at that but it isn't specific enough and doesn't have an
option to add/del menu items, etc.

Use MC Menu Mender- excellent- can add two strips and do lots of arranging-
adding/deleting. I have used it to add a games strip and a strip for
additional medis- tv tonic, rss feeds, bbc iplayer etc.

Sorry I should have said VMC Menu Mender- developed by a very generous soul
by the name of Advent.
The current version can be downloaded via this link:
http://rapidshare.com/files/11953557...nder_0.3.2.msi
The full discussion can be found within the Australian Media Center
Community- very good website- follow the discussion to understand how it
works- main points are however, 1) you can create two new strips, 2) you can
highlight which icon you want each strip to open up with as well as 3) you
can choose which strip + icon media center opens to. 4) You can add one
additional programme to each current strip. The only issue is, if you move
one of the current strips below that of the newly created ones, media center
won't open. + for me My Movies does not like it- have to add My Movies from
within its own settings (that by the way is another excellent addon!)
