What have I done? - Screen blanks

I've "done something" ...
...and now Media Center screen goes blank when starting it, the sound as
well.

Pressing the "windows" key brings it back but it goes again when any
keyboard or mouse button is used. The mouse pointer has no effect - it seems
normal. Ctrl, Alt, Del also brings it back.

It was working fine until I tried to change a lot of settings to get it to
appear better on a TV type screen. I've tried going back to no avail.

I've Googled it and several others seem to have had this problem but I could
see no response to their questions.

Any ideas what I've done?

TIA

I gave up in the end and used "System Restore".

It is working fine now.

FYI it was XP SP3 that seemed to cause it.

Hi, I have Vista Premium, and the same issues as you have. System Restore is
not possible for me, because it is like this, since the beginning. Any idea?
