Discussion:
Channel Guide Listings missing

After the last Microsoft patch release I've not had any channel 3 (STV -
Scottish Television) listings in the guide. When I go into the "add listings"
to a channel there is no "STV" to add to channel 3. I've tried re-installing
using Media Center Set-up but it's still missing the listing

Any ideas?

It's nothing to do with any Microsoft patches it's just another of the regular Electronic Programme
Guide foul ups. Listings for ITV1 Granada were missing for a week or two but have now returned. It
appears that it's now the turn of the Scots to feel some pain:-) In the meantime reconfigure the
Guide to use another Post Code & use the listings for another ITV region. There is little variation
between the various English regions other than local news programmes in any case. I expect that STV
isn't very different either.

Please report this guide error here http://www.microsoft.com/uk/windowsxp/mediacenter/epg.aspx

Thanks Nigel,
Unfortunately there aren't any other regional listings, not even ITV. Guess
I'll just have to wait :-(

I meant run through TV setup again & give a post code for some other area of the country. That will
download the EPG for that region. At present AFAIK it's only STV that is missing data.

Thanks again Nigel, I see what you mean now. I've reported it on the
Microsoft EPG issues site

I did what you said but have changed back to my own postcode and will live
with it until they sort it out.

Cheers for the advice

Hey guys
I am trying to collate all the errors together and pass them on to
Microsoft.
I had the same problem and used another postcode to get it working

Hi Ian,
The problem I had with channel 3 (STV) listings missing has fixed it's self
or probably with a bit of help from MS. I have 71 channels but had only 70
channel listings. Several days ago the listings just appeared and didn't even
have to be "added manually to the channel".

Another bug that appeared a month or two ago is the series setting for "The
Bill" and the "Tonight" programs. If you set these up to record using the
series setting it will only apply to that one episode. This happened at the
same time as there being colons in the description (The Bill:**** and
***:Tonight) if that makes sense.

Good luck
