Hi,

My Guide listings have all just vanished!

All my channels (I'm on VirginMedia) now say "No data available". They were perfect last night , but now... they're not.

Doing a "Get Latest Guide Listings" takes about 5 seconds and doesn't get anything.

Is this a widespread problem (in the UK) or... is it just me? <gulp!>

Hi Brian,
Yea I'm having the same problem, I've tried Running the TV setup but the 1st
prob is at the "Download TV Setup options" where I get a "Download Failure"
carry on and I am able to select my transmitter from the list and it will go
through the motions of downloading the Guide listings and then Scan and find
75 channels, but the guide listings are missing for the majority of
channels.
If I manually ask for it to down load the listings it immediately says that
they where downloaded successfully but they could'nt have been, it usually
takes a couple of minutes to download them all.
I thought it was a problem with my computer and tried a system restore to no
avail.
Then thought I'd come on here and see if there where any posts on the
subject.
I'm hoping that this will be sorted out (by whoever and wherever it lies)
in a short space of time, I rely on Mediacentre to record programs, I guess
I can manually set the time to record but it is so easy to use the guide,
fingers now firmly crossed for a speedy resolution.

That is because they are all posting in the Green Button Media Centre
forum, i.e:.

26 posts & rising, everytime I refresh the page.

I have the same problem too. I notice that all this has happened just after
the latest batch of Microsoft Updates - so I presume that is the cause of all
our woes! The problem is definitely with Microsoft - are they listening out
there?

I have the same problem. I tried to search the web for where they are
stored in Vista - to no avail. I eventually found files in
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\eHome\EPG
2 sdf files and 1 xml (with media center closed I moved them to a temporary
folder, then opened media center) - it forced me to scan for TV and
download new listings - still no data)
Looks like it's widespread!

Hi, I live near Portsmouth. Just initialised a new Media Center 2005 system
today (Saturday 9th May). It has all Miscrosoft updates. It was OK this
afternoon, then found all TV listings disappeared. I also have a Vista system
for which I haven't updated since probably Feb 2009 as it is working or WAS
working OK. This has also now lost it's TV listings. So it is not a Microsoft
fix which has caused this. It must be with the Listings provider. Tried Media
Center Configuration Reset, but no help. BTW, my ISP is TalkTalk. How about
other people?

I've tried 3 different guide providers with the same negative results. I
also tried restoring back to 6th May when everything was OK - then updated
guide - still no deal!
